Monday, May 14, 2012:    UPDATE / UPDATE

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

As instrustred by the MTBOA Supervisors this site NO longer will be the official site of MTBOA (Middle Tennessee Basketball Officials Association).  The supervisors want the site shut down.  I however own the site and therefore any information on this site from this date forward does NOT come from MTBOA.

Data and information will be entered from time to time to inform individuals of what is happening but make NO mistake this information does NOT come from the Supervisors.  It's their choice to shut the site down and control information regarding MTBOA.

Information or dates already entered will stay at this time.  No guarantee they will be there in the future.

Any questions you may contact the site manager.

Welcome to the new MTBOA.COM WEB SITE.  The new site is updated daily or weekly,  new information added as it becomes available.  This is your site please feel free to offer  suggestions, information, data, schedules or anything you would like to see.

I believe you will find the calendar very helpful once I'm able to update all the MTBOA and TSSAA dates.  The MTBOA Regional camp dates and 2010 /2011 Registration / Application information are already on the calendar.

Please take this opportunity to help develop your new site. It's the supervisors' dream we make it one you visit daily or weekly for up to date MTBOA news.   If you have suggestions or information which you want to share with the association members  please let me know.  I'll be glad to upload the data.
MTBOA.com will only be as good as the information you furnish.

A few areas which will be added are a section on rules and mechanics for questions and answers, and a video area  to view plays and discuss situations which occurred.   The supervisors will have a section for their input, news and notes. We all have situations which arise during the season, let's let everyone know the questions and answers to them.

I hope you find the new site to your liking and will continue to come back daily.  Have a great spring and summer.

Ron Sisk

May 1, 2011

Dear Basketball Official,

It is that time of year again to register with MTBOA and TSSAA.  You will receive your registration card from TSSAA around June 1.  Fill out that card, sign it and send it in with your TSSAA registration dues and once again register online with the Arbiter through TSSAA.

You need to print off the attached MTBOA registration form. Fill it out carefully and legibly and send it back to me with your dues by June 1.  The registration form must be filled out and send back with the correct amount of dues or your registration will NOT be accepted.  You will see that the dues for MTBOA returned to the 2009-2010 level since TSSAA took away the increase that they were going to give last year..  Our dues have been based on the fee received by a person in a three person crew for two varsity games, which TSSAA has not raised for this coming year.  Reserve dues have been $15 less than Regular dues.  The dues for a Regular are $80.00 and the dues for a Reserve are $65.00.  Make sure you make your check or money order payable to MTBOA.  DO NOT send cash!  You will still pay game fees as in the past:  Regulars is a $1.00 per game assignment and Reserves is $1.00 per game assignment.

Remember Regulars that there is a $25 LATE FEE if you have not paid your MTBOA dues by June 1, 2011.  Regulars who have not registered with MTBOA by June 1 are subject to being removed from the Regular list and replaced.

Any Reserve official that might be considered to be moved up to the Regular list MUST have their MTBOA dues paid to me by the time of the MTBOA camp at A-Game Sportsplex in Franklin on June 10-11.  You also have to have attended camp in the past two years or are attending this year.

There will no longer be a Special List!

Remember all officials are required to attend the TSSAA state meeting and five regular MTBOA meetings.

Thank you,

David L. Zeigler, MTBOA Sec.-Treas.
